Simply put, self-actualizing people are superior human beings.

Self-Actualizing People Sourcing & Recruiting is a division of Defenders & Restorers of Earth PBC. a public benefit corporation incorporated in Delaware. We source and recruit superior people, self-actualizing people as delineated by Abraham Maslow, for key positions in for-profit and nonprofit organizations and in governments, positions in which each person can express his or her dedication to a good and great cause. This good and great cause must be consistent with the cause of defending, restoring and reconstructing Earth and her biomes while improving the human condition.

Sourcing: Finding and identifying self-actualizing people

Recruiting: Enlisting a self-actualizing person to participate heartily in support of a cause as a member in an organization

Self-actualizing people are our best fighters for excellence, effectiveness and competence in any and all endeavors and organizations. They are also our most compassionate, our greatest improvers and reformers of society, our most effective fighters against injustice, inequality, slavery, cruelty and exploitation.

In general, self-actualizing people benefit an organization because:

They are emotionally, mentally, intellectually and physically healthy and are free of mental or personality disorder.

They have superior ability to reason, perceive the truth, to come to conclusion and to be cognitively efficient. This efficiency extends to all areas – business, art, music, intellectual matters, science, politics, public affairs.

They are generally unthreatened and unfrightened by the unknown and do not cling to the familiar.

They are creative and inventive.

Their occupations are vocations. They are dedicated to a great cause.

They are egalitarian and unprejudiced and accept anyone of suitable character. They transcend nationalism, class and caste.

They are flexible and can adapt to any people in any environment.

They are autonomous and self-contained. They are capable of independently making difficult and tough decisions when necessary.

They have a genuine interest in helping others.

They have a strong sense of right and wrong, of good and evil and have little conflict over basic values.

They have a constant sense of good fortune and gratitude. This is infectious.

They are fixed on ends rather than means and means are subordinated to ends. They never lose sight of goals.

They have a philosophical and non-hostile sense of humor. They do not insult people.

They are motivated by higher values, the values of being.

They resolve polarities, opposites or dichotomies, e.g. good/evil, selfishness/unselfishness, reason/instinct, spiritual/pagan, duty/pleasure. work/play, mature/childlike, kindness/ruthlessness, lust/love.

A Dominant Transcending Self-Actualizing Leader is:

A dominant, commanding and assertive transcender. Knows what he or she wants and will go after it and fight for it.

Superior in all desirable characteristics and traits including superior perception, superior physical and psychological health, superior intelligence, superior leadership, etc.

Most efficient, capable and talented of all people.

An innovator and discoverer of the new.

The best person for a task at hand and for a particular leadership position. Considers himself or herself, as does the group, to be the best person for the job.

Feels pressure to do what he or she is good at. But has potential to be a great leader is a different situation. He or she may take and hold a position out of a sense of responsibility regardless of inherent likes or dislikes.

Needs to have his or her own way and gets special pleasure from it. Following his or her own impulses is exactly the best way to make a better world because what pleases him or her most is to improve the world.

Tends to gravitate toward the top in an excellent organization.

Maintains a certain detachment, distance and objectivity towards subordinates. But knows what’s going on in the organization. Takes anxiety and tension upon his or her shoulders when necessary.

Assumes that subordinates are devoted unless it is demonstrated otherwise. Sees subordinates as fellow workers. Solicits information from subordinates and freely sends feedback.

Often admired, loved and respected by subordinates, peers and superiors. Subordinates are usually dedicated to and work diligently for him or her and the cause.

The most versatile are able to switch management styles as needed. There are situations that realistically require a participative team approach or demand greater direction or even the extremes of controlling and motivating a subordinate autocrat with threats, punishment, intimidation, etc.
